Forty years ago, the Supreme Court handed down its decision in Roe v. Wade, ruling that the constitutional right to privacy protects a woman's ability to choose whether to continue or terminate her pregnancy. Since then, Roe has protected women’s right to seek safe, legal abortions.
Unfortunately, Arizona continues to lead the effort to chip away at the legal protections in Roe. Today, women in Arizona face some of the most dangerous threats to women's rights and health in decades, including a ban on virtually all abortions after 20 weeks, and laws blocking federal funding for women's health services and denying tax credits to groups that even mention abortion.
Enough is enough. Celebrate Roe's 40th anniversary by taking action:
