Movie Night: Till

May 11, 2023 @ 5:30 pm
@ 8:00 pm

Join us for a movie night with the ACLU of Arizona! We will be screening “Till,” a movie about Emmett Till and his mother's advocacy efforts. We are watching this movie to learn from organizing tactics used to create change.

"Till" is a profoundly emotional and cinematic film about the true story of Mamie Till-Mobley's relentless pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son, Emmett Till, who, in 1955, was lynched while visiting his cousins in Mississippi. In Mamie's poignant journey of grief turned to action, we see the universal power of a mother's ability to change the world. Learn more about the film here.

Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. The movie is 2 hours long so feel free to bring blankets, pillows, chair cushions, or anything else to feel comfortable!
