The ACLU of Arizona is collaborating with families and schools to end the systemic problems that cause schools to remove students from the classroom, a practice that disproportionately affects students of color and with disabilities. The Demand to Learn campaign aims to provide families and administrators with policy guidance and resources that will help those schools address students’ challenges and needs instead of increasing student suspensions, expulsions, and referrals to law enforcement.
Join the Demand to Learn campaign and learn how to defend the rights of students in school. This workshop will be in Spanish.
Parents, guardians, teachers, and concerned community members are welcome. This is a free event, but space is limited.
