We are very excited to host the kick-off event for an ACLU film screening of Two Americans by local journalist Valeria Fernandez and filmmaker Dan DeVivo at 6:30 p.m. on April 10th at the Phoenix Center for the Arts, 1202 N 3rd St. in Phoenix.
The ACLU of Arizona is coordinating this effort with affiliates across the country as part of a conversation and action on immigration reform. The documentary tells the story of the Figueroa family, and juxtaposes it with the policies and practices of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, highlighting the need for a common-sense immigration process for aspiring citizens.
