Principles Policy
The ACLU of Arizona is committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, both internally and externally. We seek to live the values that support our mission to defend and advance civil rights and civil liberties. Accordingly, we strive to maintain an internal culture that is welcoming and inclusive, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, where there is interpersonal trust and mutual respect, and where everyone is comfortable being themselves. We are working hard to ensure that everyone organization-wide has a baseline understanding of how to analyze and address bias and structural barriers in our work.
Policy on Ethical Principles for Directors
This Policy reaffirms each Director’s commitment to conducting Affiliate business ethically, legally, and with integrity. Each Director’s personal adherence to the principles of this Policy is fundamental to maintaining the reputation of the Affiliate and ensuring its future success. In order to address these responsibilities, this Policy requires that each Director:
Anyone may report a possible violation of ACLU of Arizona’s Policy on Ethical Principles for Directors by emailing board@acluaz.org. Complaints, which may be anonymous, shall be in writing or rendered into writing as soon as possible. The complaint and its contents, as well as the identity of the complainant, shall be treated as highly confidential and responded to in a timely manner.
