TUCSON—Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU's Immigrants' Rights Project, will be presenting oral arguments before U.S. District Court Chief Judge Raner Collins in the ACLU's case Rodriguez v. Swartz on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at the Evo A. DeConcini U.S. Courthouse in Tucson, Ariz.
The issue to be argued is whether the U.S. Constitution applies to Jose Antonio Elena Rodriguez, a Mexican teenager in Nogales, Sonora, who was fatally shot through the border fence by a U.S. Border Patrol agent.
