The ACLU of Arizona is collaborating with families and schools to end the systemic problems that cause schools to remove students from the classroom.
The Demand to Learn campaign aims to identify the Maricopa County schools that push out the most students. We then want to provide families and administrators with policy guidance and resources that will help those schools address students’ challenges and needs instead of increasing student suspensions, expulsions, and referrals to law enforcement.
Get involved in Demand to Learn and join our first advocacy training on Saturday, July 8! We will be discussing how you can help students access the education they deserve. Attendees will learn about their rights related to public education and strategies to support students when faced with disciplinary actions.
Parents, guardians, teachers, and concerned community members are welcome. This is a free event, but space is limited. Please RSVP by Thursday, July 6.
