Bio

Marcela joined the ACLU staff in March 2017 and oversees all external communications, including communications planning and strategy, messaging, media relations, digital media and brand awareness. Prior to joining the ACLU team, Marcela was in charge of handling all public relations and marketing materials for local animal shelters. Marcela received a degree in Communications from the University of Arizona, with an emphasis in Spanish and Business. She is a native of Arizona.
