Bio

Lauren Beall is a Staff Attorney with the ACLU of Arizona. Before joining the ACLU of Arizona, Lauren worked as a trial attorney at the Pima County Public Defender’s Office in Tucson. She defended hundreds of poor people accused of all felony crimes, from simple drug possession to homicide. She is particularly passionate about the rights of workers and prisoners, bodily autonomy, and fighting state violence against the queer community. Lauren holds a B.A. from Western Washington University and a J.D. from the University of Arizona. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys all forms of art, especially dance, the written word, and food. She is originally from Arlington, Washington.
