Bio

Jessica Valiente, a daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, was born in San Francisco, California. She has spent the last 25 years in “La Phoeniquera” and now considers herself to be a Phoenician and a lover of the Sonoran sun! Throughout her career in the art and medical sectors, she has been a vocal supporter of policies that prioritize equitable access to healthcare and education, particularly for marginalized communities. Her advocacy work is grounded in the belief that everyone, regardless of background, deserves the opportunity to make informed decisions about their bodies and their futures.

At 26, Jessica became the business owner of Valiente Events and Productions, where she’s been fueled by a love for connecting local talent with new, unexpected audiences. Through unforgettable events and productions, Jessica creates spaces where art, culture, and advocacy converge. She’s particularly focused on uplifting diverse voices, amplifying the work of BIPOC creators, and bringing attention to important social causes.

Jessica’s favorite quote, one her mother often repeats to her, is “Dime con quien te juntas, y te digo quien eres” (“Tell me who you surround yourself with, and I’ll tell you who you are”). Jessica lives by this philosophy knowing that the people we choose to surround ourselves with shape our growth, success, and character. It’s this mindset that keeps her inspired by those who persistently chase their dreams and support others in doing the same. Outside of work, Jessica is a reality TV enthusiast, a pickle lover, a DJ’s girlfriend/hype-girl and the best cat mom to their fur-daughter, Kika.
