Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA)
TCAA serves Tempe residents, helping seniors, adults, and families meet basic needs – they operate a food pantry, three senior centers, aging programs, Home-Delivered Meal program, emergency rent/mortgage and utility assistance, the Tempe Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP), pre- and post-natal services, two community gardens, the Family Economic Advancement Initiative, and other projects and programs.

Family Promise rescues primarily first time homeless families from the streets and provides emergency shelter and basic needs in a sixty-day program designed to assist their return to self-sufficiency.  Our shelter includes a sanctuary for the family pet, the first such program in Arizona. Family Promise created a pet sanctuary complete with kitty condos a dog area and dog run.  This program can hold eight cats and eight dogs at one time.  The program also has areas available for reptiles.  The program is for families who are coming into the Family Promise program and have a pet as part of their family.

The Emergency Housing Program is Arizona's only emergency overnight shelter for young adults ages 18-25 and their pets. This program helps stop the immediate risk of violence, sexual exploitation, malnutrition and mental health dangers young people on the street often face. Also, a home where minors and runaways age 12-17 find temporary safety and support during periods of crisis.
