Molly Brizgys is the ACLU of Arizona's senior staff attorney. Molly has dedicated her legal career to defending the rights of impoverished people at all stages of criminal proceedings from trial to appeal to habeas corpus. Before coming to the ACLU of Arizona, Molly ran a criminal practice defending indigent clients in federal court and argued multiple cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Much of her recent litigation has centered around advocating for juvenile defendants who were sentenced to natural life in prison. Molly is a devoted fighter for an equal system that affords all people dignity and due process, hope and second chances. She is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of San Francisco School of Law where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the USF Law Review.
