ACLU To Release Report Of DPS Racial Profiling In Traffic Stops

Phoenix – At a press conference at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008, the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona will announce the publication of a report demonstrating DPS officers’ discriminatory treatment of persons of color stopped on major highways in Arizona. Targets of and witnesses to the continuing pattern of racial profiling by MCSO and other local law enforcement agencies will speak at the conference.

WHAT:            Press conference to announce the release of conclusions about racially-biased DPS stops and to highlight racial profiling by MCSO and local agencies.
