My Rights

You have rights, and you should know how to use them!

Youth have many rights under state and federal laws, both in and out of the classroom. Having knowledge of these rights is important-it's a tool you may need to protect yourself against abuses by police, school officials, and other adults. These rights can sometimes be unclear, but the ACLU is here to help. The Students' Rights Handbook is an ACLU-AZ publication written to answer some of the most important questions you have about your rights.
